I don't know about you but I'm ready for the cold, dark, wet winter to end now. In recent weeks, we've seen the sunshine trying to make a return which has got me in the mood for summer.
Come along to Stand Out Summer Hats Workshop at Fieldcrest and learn how to make your own summer hat. The cost is £160 plus materials. All materials can be bought on the day.
This two-day workshop takes place on Wednesday 30th May between 10am and 4pm and Thursday 31st May between 10am and 4pm.
Tea, coffee, cake and biscuits will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch.
You may also want to bring an apron.

Wire brim edge to hold the shape
Trim and decorate finished hat

Welcome, coffee and introductions
An introduction to millinery fabrics and tools
Demonstration of blocking technique
Participants block their own hat

Sunday 31st May 10am - 4pm
Wire hat brim if appropriate
Join crown and brim if appropriate
Add bias trim
Let your imagination run wild and trim/decorate your hat!
